Description Elastic two-component cementitious mortar for waterproofing, TEAIS IMPERCEM ?

Cementitious and elastic mortar for waterproofing. TEAIS IMPERCEM is a cement-based, special aggregates, additives and pollymers on watery dispersion waterproofing agent. It is used in concrete walls, small terraces and shower trays waterproofing. Waterproofing cladding on concrete surfaces under weather conditions.

It is applied to waterproof concrete walls, small terraces, balconies, shower
plates and concrete supports submitted to external attack such as contact with
salts upon thawing, sulphate and chloride enviroments as well as for waterproofing swimming pools, etc.. Also used as a ceramic adhesive, mosaics in bathrooms and swimming pools, shower trays placements, etc.

Surface preparation

The background of application must be clean, free of dust, salts, etc. Absorbent surfaces must be slightly dampened prior to the application.

Modes of application Elastic two-component cementitious mortar for waterproofing?

  Mix the component with the liquid either manually or mechanically using a low speed mixer by avoiding any air penetration in the mix until reaching a homogeneous consistency. - The proportion of the mix is 1 litre of liquid component for every 2 kg of powder product. - Spread the mix by using a trowel to apply onto the support until reaching 2 mm thick coating at most. - Once the first coating hardens, a second one can be applied. - In those areas with small cracks, TEJIAIS 5 or TEJIAIS 5 PLUS can be used. - Leave to dry for 24 hours after this application (under good climatic conditions). - The floor slabs can be placed directly, using on the most appropriate adhesive according to their properties. - When used as adhesive is applied with fine notched trowel on the dried TEAIS IMPERCEM layer (the layer that was used as the waterproof), applied tiles as with a regular tile adhesive. Must be careful to clean all the absorbent material, because due to its high adhesion once hardened can only be removed mechanically. - In the execution of waterproof sealed systems it is necessary to consider all elements to constitute a continuous waterproofing in which the singular points are also waterproof.
  For waterproofing shower trays, prepare the surface to receive the waterproof layer and apply the product throughout the rise in the lateral surface, and may even waterproof the entire vertical surface, and once TEAIS IMPERCEM layer is dried (who may be reinforced with fiber mesh or not) the termination is done with the placement of the liner, that can be applied with TEAIS IMPERCEM or with our special tile adhesive CECOISFLEX.

Clean up

The tools will be cleaned with water while the material is fresh.

It is recommended to store this product for 2 years in its tightly closed original packages protected against bleakness, without exposing to sudden temperature changes.

2015-2017 SHIAC (ITC-20151250): DESARROLLO DE TECNOLOGÍAS DE HIGIENIZACIÓN PARA LA REDUCCIÓN DE RIESGOS BIOLÓGICOS EN ACUICULTURA
